Positive Psychology Is True Happiness!

Last but not least, bareback horse riding, here we come. No-fear Faye J. climbs up on “Left” first. Grammy holds onto her tightly. She is as relaxed as a noodle. Gracie decides to watch and get the lay of the land. Smart, careful cookie. When I ask Gracie if she wants to ride alone, she replies, “No, Grammy, you better ride with me”. So I relish a double ride.
“Aunt Annie” holds the reign in hand, and the girls are in horse heaven. So is Grammy. Grandpa sits on the porch and beams at his two little bareback princesses and perhaps at his big mama, too.
I am positive we will all sleep well tonight. “Aunt Annie’s” hospitality and generosity seeps though right down to our bone marrow. Beaming Cheshire cat smiles mirror our blessed bliss. “Aunt Annie’s” charming log home, wondrous woods, and full-of-fish ponds, created a day of firsts for the grand girls. And we grandparents are tickled to share it all.

I would venture to say it is one of the best times we have ever had with them. No gifts to open. No set plans. Just terrific times to share. And thank God, the day is pristine in its warm weather billowy blue sky, cumulus cloud perfection. Faye J. summarizes all our thoughts as we are walking away to go home. In all her innocence, she gazes up at us and longingly implores, “We ARE going to get to come here again, RIGHT?”
Perfect, just perfect.
