Tropical Turf Wars

After a hard day at work, lost in thought, I unceremoniously saunter into the bedroom. Peace beckons. To block the setting sun, I pull down the shade.
YIKES!!! We vie for who has shocked whom the most.
I squeal as he scrambles and scurries his little butt upwards, running for dear life, as fast as his skinny little legs will transport him. Quick as a flash, he disappears. Where? Beats me! But like a bad penny, he always turns up again, as if to give me the dickens for messing up his snooze.
Though he means well, I am not heartened by my husband’s cool and logical Critical Thinking and Perspective strengths in action. “Oh, he is great, just doing his job. He eats all the little bugs.”
Well, I am happy for him, but I wish he would take his meal to a different venue. Like up the blame mountain.
OK, I tell myself, time for a truce. Can we agree to use our Teamwork strength? Every time I go to pull down the shade, I will be mindful of you and hold my breath. I will be more Open-Minded.
We will live in peace, but creepy, crawling critter, will you please slow down and quit scaring me? OK? You first :=) (Humor is a terrific Strength!)
So what do you need or who do you need to make peace with today?
What strengths do you need to dust off and polish up?
