Divine Intervention And Strengths

Divine Intervention And Strengths

Do you believe in divine intervention? I sure as heck do. Listen to what happened this morning. I went on Facebook to wish my wonderfully loving girlfriend a joyous Passover. And to other friends, a Happy Easter week. Here in Vallarta, Easter is huge. There are resurrection parades and smiling families on vacation at every turn.

Then I had a coaching session with a super gal who said she felt lost spiritually.

This was ironic as just this morning, yep, this morning, I had stopped to say a prayer of thanks that I am feeling better (after a 2-week flu). I prayed a grateful prayer for family, too, that Mom received her Easter flowers yesterday and was happy, that I got a lovely email from my daughter, Jackie, and that I have talked to my sons in the last couple days.

My grateful list went on and on as I remembered Easters as a kid. I remembered my sister and I got new Sunday School outfits topped off by berets or fancy flower-festooned Easter bonnets. And Mom taking our pictures outside, in the green grass the Easter Bunny had just blessed with eggs.

This time alone with myself, savoring washed over me like a gentle spring breeze.

But I digress…

Back to the client who said her prayerfulness had taken a nose-dive. I asked her permission to share some prayers. I did, and she was delighted. Especially by the Dalai Lama’s prayer:

May I become at all times, both now and forever,

a protector for those without protection

a guide for those who have lost their way

a ship for those with oceans to cross

a bridge for those with rivers to cross

a sanctuary for those in danger

a lamp for those who need light

a place of refuge for those needing shelter

and a servant to all those in need.

The Dalai Lama

Lovely, huh? It’s not just about us. It is about others, too, that we feel fulfilled. The client said this helped her re-align. We were both filled with peace as the call ended.

Now here is the fun part. Jaw-dropping “Whoa!”

In the very next email I received, ironically, also from a client who had felt untethered emotionally, there was an attachment. Wanna guess what what was in it?

The same Dalai Lama prayer I had just read to my client 2 minutes before opening is email!

Ahhh…Did you get the message?

God works in mysterious ways.

We are never alone. No matter how you see or know God or your higher power, someone is with you.

How cool is that?

You so matter.
