Fruits And Veggies Aren’t The Answer?!

Fruits And Veggies Aren’t The Answer?!

A new study shines the spot light on stress and nutrition in the typical American workplace. Think eating your fruits and veggies is enough to ward off becoming overweight and stressed out? Guess again.

Striking Rochester study results indicated job stress and lack of physical activity are strongly associated with being overweight or obese. Not just healthy eating.

Shocked researchers discovered a diet rich in fruits and vegetables did little to offset the effect of chronic job stress on weight gain among the mostly sedentary employees.

So What Is The Secret?

I bet you guessed it! Exercise, backed up with good nutrition, seemed to be the key to managing stress and maintaining a healthy weight.

In a poor economy, companies should take care of the people who survive layoffs and end up staying in stressful jobs,” Fernandez said. “It is important to focus on strengthening wellness programs to provide good nutrition, ways to deal with job demands, and more opportunities for physical activity that are built into the regular workday without penalty.
