Life Burning Your Butt? Polar Bear Positivity
Posted by Dr. Judy at 3:00 am
When I saw this picture it reminded my of life. There are times it all seems to be red hot negative. When burning circumstances keep gaining misery momentum. That’s you racing, your psyche seething with scorching pain right down to your core.
Murphy’s Law’s got nothing on you. But, sad to say, who do you know that’s not been burned by family, friends, co-workers?
OK. You feel the heat. You’re sinking fast. How do you get out of the burning barrel?
Rescue yourself! Hop onto your creativity and critical thinking ice flow and cool down your hot head. Just sit on it and breath for a moment. That’s better, I heard your sweet, cool sigh of relief.
Or try this. Flash forward to Jan 1st. Imagine you are one of those courageous, humorously crazy polar bear swimmers jumping into frigid waters. You surface like an icicle with a shiver-smile frozen on your face. You survive.
Yep, that’s you happily yelling, “Brr!” Freeze-frame your fun. Or keep a picture of a polar bear on your desktop to remind you to chill.
Chill pill relief, as you let go of the lava-laden negative memories of your too-hot life. Your new problem-solving and critical thinking is cooling down your angst.
Aren’t polar bears amazing? So are you. When life is burning your butt, morph into your inner polar bear.
Have you ever seen lava rock after it cools?
Each chunk of rock, wondrous pieces of art.
Each unique and fascinatingly amazing.
Just like you.
