Jet Lag Jettisoned

Jet Lag Jettisoned

My first day back to WI. Jet lag. I walk in my door to be greeted by a freshly painted house, mail stacked up the the ceiling, and surprise welcome home gifts and treats. My plants have been lovingly watered and there are many “so glad you’re home” notes waiting to be sweetly savored.

Friendship. Connection. Belongingness.

I burst into tears of

  • Gratitude to be home.
  • Gratitude to have beat the tornado warnings.
  • Gratitude that our little pond has new koi.
  • Gratitude to have gotten so many uplifting emails.
  • Gratitude that Mom is OK after several recent falls.

Now, I am beginning to feel the exhaustion. But mostly I feel joy. Two unexpected appointments with gals who brought me these gorgeous flowers and cupcakes filled with vanilla cream. OK, so a couple disappeared before I took this photo. They were dynamite delicious! I am so blessed.

Do You Know Someone Who Could Use A Treat Today?

Remember that when you give, you get the benefit emotionally even more than the person you give to. And let’s not forget the pets, either! Hugging and loving them up is better than a tonic.

Now I am off to connect a fantastically generous gift. A Wii gift from yet another very special friend. She wants us healthy, God love her. What you give comes back to you. Not in material things necessarily, but gifts from your heart as well.

Thanks for being part of my family.
A very special part.
I can feel your fun as I watch my daffodils dancing in the wind.
Or is that the breeze from you kicking up your spring high heels?
