Fantastic high tech medication. Smart pills? Terrific. But let’s not forget the power of positivity in healing.
Belongingness, a sense of shared hope, and relationship with your doctor and medical staff. Spirituality, prayer, and hope. Teamwork and tenacity in following your treatment regimen.
Remember those research studies when patients were given placebo pills? They recovered as well as the patients who were given medication. Why? Because they believed they would.
Hope is the bedrock of a powerful belief system. It’s also a powerful healer.
