Technology, Thrill or Shrill?

Technology, Thrill or Shrill?

© 2010 Dr. Judy Krings

How many hours a day is your butt perched on your computer chair? Or do you fall asleep with your iphone on your belly?

Hooked on Gadgets, and Paying a Mental Price. Blessing or curse, or some of both.

Life curiously evolves. Technology expands and contracts our world. Meaningful tech communication adds to our sense of belongingness and social connection. But at what cost?

Here’s a fun challenge. Look at your VIA strengths. If you haven’t taken it yet, what are you waiting for? It’s free and fun at authentichappiness.org. See which one of your strengths technology affects the most. Pros and cons.

I love using creativity, love of learning, and humor when I blog to you. Add a sprinkle of spiritualitywisdom (on a good day!) and zest. But I caution you to be mindful. Technology can easily overload your brain. I don’t know about you, but I need my neurons happily firing when I am away from the computer, too.

Quiet, peace and calm.
No computer clicking.
Eyes closed.
Silent smiling.
Doesn’t that feel so fine?
