A Creative Solution To The Creativity Crisis

I’m hopping mad! I’ve put on my boxing gloves ready to step into the educational stupidity boxing ring and knock some sense into legislators’ heads!
What the hell? Can you believe this…Educators are taking creativity out of our educational system! How do we expect kids to learn how to play with ideas, work on solutions, and help our messy world get itself on more wholesome, peaceful ground?
OK, I admit I’m biased. I used the Torrance Test of Creative Thinking hundreds of times for my Ph.D. dissertation research. I’m thrilled it has withstood the sands of time.
Curiosity is also imperative. Trying novel ideas or strategies, failing, and trying others. Life needs you to be flexible, fluent, embrace change, and be an original thinker.
How has creativity added to your life? Or your kids’ and grand kids’?
I try to be upbeat in my blogs, but I am royally ticked. How about you? What can we do? Hit up your school system in any way you can! Be creative with your pressure, please.
Hope this article helps get your mojo moving’. Who said anger was bad? I can feel your chagrin gaining momentum as you get on the ticked off bandwagon.
Now where are those chartreuse and mauve pens you can use to let your letter rip?
‘Course you could put it in bold, fancy font and highlight it all, too!
