Fun Quiz: Am I Ready for Coaching?

Have you ever thought about getting a coach?
How do you know if now is the right time?
Take this fun quiz. No wrong answers.
Goody! Be bald-faced honest with yourself.
This is not the time to be humble.
It’s time to own up to your own awesome authenticity.

Every answer is a lovely leap towards becoming your Best Self:
 1.  When do you feel most energized? What engages your senses so time flies
by and you go into FLOW?

 2.  What are your personal limitations? How active is your little gremlin,
your inner critic, who stubbornly stymies you?

 3.  What do you love about your work (or life’s journey if you are not working)?

 4.  How are you unique from others? (Ask others to tell you and be ready for
some surprises! This was life-altering for me.)

 5.  What is going right for you? What are you passionate about? Proud of?

 6.  What causes you stress? What are your challenges personally and professionally?

 7.  Which challenge is the big hairy monster who needs to be slain immediately?
Which challenges can you send out to pasture till later?

 8.  What are 3 opportunities you have but have not taken advantage of?
What are roadblocks to your decision-making?

 9.  What are 5 goals you want to accomplish in the next 3 months?
Light-weight or heavy weight, no matter!

10. What strengths do you know how to utilize to help move you forward?

So how about it? How did you do?
Did other questions bubble up as you did this quiz?

One more thing…
When you make the joyful decision to transform your life into the dream
you have imagined, and you get a coach, always let your coach know about
how you like to be coached:  Gentle nudge; Energetic encouragement, Direct
suggestions, Pedal to the metal and full steam ahead;  Saunter and savor;
Send me information emails; or Nail me if I am not accountable!
You direct your coach’s traffic. I love your feedback and appreciate every
comment. What’s whipping around in your plans turns my cream into savory butter!

Grammy’s Double Lick of Love

© 2011 Dr. Judy Krings

Can you imagine a photo of yourself feeling at your best?

Wonder what you’d say if you were 92 years old?

Do you hope pets will surround you? Or maybe 2-legged family you adore?

You see it here. Joy, Love, Life satisfaction. Mom at her best self.

As she said this morning, “This is the perfect morning!”
Five dogs came into her room and vied for lap or lick time.
Sweethearts, Kiki in white, and Mugsy in brown.
Both rescue dogs who hit the jackpot when Cathy strolled into the shelter.
The other three are too big for Mom’s lap, but after Mom pets, they settle for a rest.

I don’t know about you, but I pray there will be someone to take immaculate care
of me the way Cathy and Bill gift Mom with a luminous life. Despite her huge health
challenges, meaning, pleasure, and loving engagement are parked right along side
Mom’s wheelchair.

This is my optimistic Mom; gratitude with a doggy grin.

Was that you I saw grabbing your keys to head to the shelter?
Tell ‘em Grammy Louise sent you!

Answers soon, but first, about these two sneak peek Cuban snapshots…

The building art praises the courage and passion of Che Guevera.
His visage is seen all over Cuba. In case your Cuban history needs
a refresher course, he was the Argentinean Marxist revolutionary physician,
guerilla, author, diplomat, and military theorist who helped Fidel Castro in
his subversion of Cuban leader, Batista. In the other photo, a handsome
hunk artist at the craft market chatted politics with me. He flashed his social
intelligence strength in very good English. Were you surprised that he
opened up? I was! But poignant, eyebrow-raising human interest stories
greeted me around every corner.

Look For The Good

Positive psychology helps you mine your positivity nuggets of gold. To focus on what is right, strong and true about you. It opens the doors for you to live your BEST LIFE personally, professionally, and socially. To be aware of your character strengths and to know, as positive psychology pioneer Chris Peterson would say, “Other people matter”.

Tony Grant is Australia’s positive psychology guru. His wit and charm have added much to the science of how to live a happier, more meaningful life. From “down under”, Tony shares the Sydney Morning Herald’s list of the good things that happened in 2010.

What were your bests this year?
Funny, when I look for the good, I see your face grinning back at me!
Here’s to 2011!

Banish Boredom: Bold Strengths Steps

© 2010 Dr. Judy Krings

One of my younger clients told me he was bored, a concept almost unknown by me. I always have piles of stuff I wish my curiosity clock would allow me to explore. But not wanting to judge, I sat into his boredom with him. I asked him to run through his week with me.
